The Rendezvous Cafe, North Bay
This interior redesign for a café in North Bay blends modern industrial architecture with warm, inviting elements to create a functional yet visually striking space. The design features clean lines, a neutral base palette, and black millwork contrasted with natural wood flooring to add warmth and balance. Open shelving, minimalist lighting fixtures, and a bold feature mural bring character without overwhelming the space. The centrally located service counter improves workflow while acting as a visual anchor, enhancing customer interaction and efficiency.
To keep the project economical, we focused on smart material choices and strategic upgrades rather than full replacement. Existing layouts were optimized, durable finishes were selected for long-term value, and custom millwork was designed for maximum impact with minimal material waste. Lighting was used thoughtfully to elevate the ambiance without costly architectural changes. The result is a refreshed, contemporary café that feels high-end, performs efficiently, and stays within the client’s budget—proving that good design doesn’t have to be expensive.

Kartik Bedi (Project Coordinator)
With a Bachelors in Architecture and postgraduate training in Construction Management, he brings a strong blend of design expertise and technical proficiency to the team. His experience spans architectural design, detailed technical documentation, and hands-on involvement with Canadian construction projects, aligning well with a practical, context-driven approach to architecture.
Worked across residential, commercial, and institutional projects, producing GFC and approval drawings, elevations, sections, 3D models, millwork details and estimates of projects, while collaborating closely with clients and multidisciplinary consultants.
